Start: Valpariso, IL
End: Valpariso, IL
Scheduled Miles: 0
Actual Miles: 5
Having done laundry yesterday, I folded it this morning. Then a $5 breakfast at the school cafeteria which was good, and then the youth groups started piling in and it got real noisy agian. Much better that then some drunk idiots though.
A bunch of us went to the 8:30 service at the chapel on campus. This service was in the lower level and was very nice, the main chapel is gorgous. It reminded Iron Mike of the Air Force chapel.
After service I took Martins bike down to a courtyard and hung it up in a tree so I could work on it. Took both tires off, and the chain. Gave it a real good cleaning!
Then put the tires back on, and a new chain. I also installed a new computer/speedometer. The original one had stopped working. Then it was off for a test ride, through downtown Valpariso. Stopped for lunch at a cafe that looked interesting, and had very good onion rings with vegi pannini sandwich and of course local brew.
Back to the dorms and blogging. Now that this is done, I need to put away the cloths and get ready for bed.
Only 13 more days left of this grand adventure. This past week has been the toughest with 7 straight days of cycling, bad weather and lousy neighbors. Had not Barbara and my family been in Madison on Wednesday I may have cracked.
The next two weeks get easier as far as milage, and Riders are already talking about ending this ride and what happens afterward. Some are ready for it to end, and some talk about turning around and heading back. It should be interesting.

Yikes! Sorry to hear about your accident - glad you're still up and going.
We keep praying for you here at Unity - every week.
I think I've been in both of the churches you've worshipped at the last two weeks - in New Ulm I attended a friend's wedding there (although, there are probably multiple Lutheran churches in New Ulm), and at Valpo - just visiting with a friend who attended college there.
Keep it up!!!

I and others may not always comment, but we are certainly reading avidly!
