Saturday 7-14 Day 20

Today is a rest day, woke up and watched the Tour de France. What a bunch of slackers! Yea right.

Took Martins bike over to a bike shop to have the bottom bracket looked at, and bought a new tire to replace the one I put on. The bottom bracket was making a tinking sound, so they took it apart and cleaned it up while I waited. It seems to have done the trick as when I was riding around Rapid City, (yes I ride, even on my off days) the noise seems to have gone away. We'll see tomorrow as we have another century to do.

So as typical, did the laundry and will need to clean up the bike a bit more tonight yet.

So the next postings should come on July 21 when we have a rest day in New Ulm, MN. Getting close to WI and Madison, can't wait!

GO BOB GO!! Hey - I've been through WY & Mt. Rushmore & Crazy Horse, MN is wide and boring - just like IA but with less corn and soy beans. I've been to Ney Ulm too! My sister used to live there... Are you going above or below Lake Michigan?? I couldn't tell by your map. I'm glad you are enjoying your trek... Carla Lonski

Bob,

I don't know if you feel like it, but looking at the map, you are really making progress across this wonderful country of ours.

Keep up the great ride! I just love seeing Cricket in all these places!
